Gouache painting of a Blue Jay

Painting is fun and I don't get an opportunity to do it as much as I'd like. I generally work in watercolour, but I've been recently experimenting with Gouache. Gotta say I like it a bunch. The subject matter certainly doesn't hurt; there's a majesty and a beauty to birds that I find very hard to resist. This is based on a photo from Candace Savage's truly wonderful Bird Brains.
