Paintings and Colour Work

On this page are thumbnails of a variety of paintings I've done.  My medium is watercolour and I love using either Luma Brilliant Concentrated Water Colors (sadly discountinued) or Dr. Martin's Hydrus Fine Art Watercolors. I use both Hot Press and Cold Press watercolour paper from a variety of companies and at a variety of weights, though generally they're all 140 lb. or lighter.

As you'll notice, many of these pieces focus on sports.  I'm a big fan of both football and rugby union and I thoroughly enjoy doing this kind of work.  One of my major influences is Merv Corning; he was a master at this kind of work.  His sports imagery, particulary his work with the National Football League, is amazing.

In addition, there are a few other pieces from art shows and the like.  Plus a few watercolour pieces from Stargazer, my upcoming graphic novel and a portrait of your intrepid artist (and his wife), to boot!

If you click on the thumbnails below, that page will open.  And you can navigate within each page, too.
