Undead Skeletons
Fun little piece with undead. Skeletons! A gaming staple! What game of old-school DUNGEONS & DRAGONS doesn't use skeletons? They go right back to the game's beginning, in Book 2's MONSTERS & TREASURE. A classic monster and, depending on how the Referee plays them, can offer quite a challenge to newbie players. One of the core beauties of them is that they are endlessly customizable, too. Tired of having your players stomp them easily? Well, add magical ruby eyes that shoot beams! Or how 'bout arming them with magic swords? Or how 'bout enchanting them with a spell or two? And you don't even have to go that far. Just have edged weapons do very little damage because swords, axes, and arrows get jammed or deflected by their bones! The possibilities are pretty much endless, just relying the imagination of the Referee to come up with interesting variations, treating the core skeleton as a loose template that can be customized. And with that, you are off to the races!
